Bomb Threat Investigated At Adair County Elementary School, No Credible Threat To Students Or Staff

From Superintendent Faulkner: At approximately 1:20 p.m. today, (Thursday, April 23, 2026) Adair County Elementary School received a reported bomb threat. School administration immediately followed established safety protocols, and local law enforcement was contacted.

Officers from the Columbia Police Department, Adair County Sheriff’s Office, and the Kentucky State Police responded promptly and conducted a thorough investigation of the area. After a complete search, authorities determined that there was no credible threat to students or staff.

The safety of our students and employees remains our top priority, and we are grateful for the swift and professional response of our local law enforcement agencies. We appreciate their continued partnership in helping ensure a safe learning environment.

School operations have resumed as normal, and we will continue to work closely with law enforcement as part of standard precautionary measures.
