The public is cordially invited to attend a Liberty Tree planting ceremony commemorating the 250th anniversary of the United States of America. The event will take place Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. CT at the Columbia VFW, located at 500 Green Hills Rd., Columbia, KY 42728.
This ceremonial planting honors the historic significance of the Liberty Tree as a symbol of American independence and unity, while marking this milestone anniversary in the nation’s history.
In conjunction with the event, the Division of Forestry will host a free tree giveaway in celebration of Arbor Day, encouraging environmental stewardship and community engagement. Trees will be available to attendees while supplies last.
Judge Executive Larry Russell Bryant encourages members of the community, local leaders, and media representatives to attend and participate in this meaningful observance.
