From Mayor Pamela Hoots: “The Columbia City Council met in special session on Monday (June 15, 2026).
The Council had the second reading of the Ordinance No. 220.197. This ordinance is for the amendment of the City of Columbia’s annual budget for fiscal year 7-1-25 through 6-31-26, by estimation of revenues and resources and appropriating funds for the operation of the city government.
They also had second reading of the Ordinance No. 220.196. It is the ordinance for the City of Columbia’s annual budget for fiscal year 7-1-26 through 6-31-27. It is estimation of revenues and resources and appropriating funds for the operation of the city government.
The council gave second readings to ordinances pertaining to curfew at the city parks and to establishing noise limits within the boundaries of the City of Columbia.
They also had second reading on the amendment of an ordinance establishing a purchasing procedure for the City of Columbia.”
