Kentucky League Of Cities Presents Representative Neighbors 2024 ‘Friend Of Kentucky Cities’ Award

FRANKFORT, KY – The Kentucky League of Cities presented Representative Amy Neighbors (R-Edmonton) with a 2024 “Friend of Kentucky Cities” award. KLC Executive Director/CEO J.D. Chaney presented the award for Representative Neighbors’ work in the 2024 Regular Session.

“Thank you for sponsoring House Bill 533, which allows the payment of working capital expenditures as an allowable use of money received from the sale of conduit bonds,” KLC Executive Director/CEO J.D. Chaney said. “KLC and city officials appreciate your continued support of legislation that helps municipalities and the people who live and work in our communities.”

“I’m incredibly honored to receive the Friend of Kentucky Cities Award and appreciate the Kentucky League of Cities for drawing attention to HB 533,” Rep. Neighbors said. “This was a commonsense piece of legislation that provides local governments with an opportunity to do more with their resources in order to serve our constituents better. As a lawmaker, I pledged to work with other officials at the state, local and federal level and will continue to do so. After all, the people we serve expect us to work together on their behalf.”

KLC bestows the “Friend of Kentucky Cities” award on legislators who perform outstanding work in the legislature advocating for issues that impact cities across the state.
