Sheriff’s Office Arrests Columbia Man On Two Outstanding Warrants, Possession And Drug Paraphernalia Charges

On Tuesday, February 17, 2026, the Adair County Sheriff’s Office was attempting to locate a man for two outstanding Adair County Bench Warrants.

Chief Deputy Brandon Hitch and Deputy Derek Padgett went to 7998 Greensburg Road to serve the warrants.

Upon arriving at the location, Deputies located and arrested Alex Coomer, 20, of Columbia.

A search of his person was conducted upon Coomer’s arrest.

During that search, Chief Deputy Brandon Hitch located suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in Coomer’s pocket.  

Coomer was arrested and lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail on the following:

Adair County Bench Warrant

Adair County Bench Warrant

Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense (Methamphetamine) 

Drug Paraphernalia Buy/Possess
