Heaven by Marc Jacobs has become known for its impeccably curated collaborations and campaign stars, teaming up with the likes of Dilara Findikoglu, Dr. Martens and Mia Khalifa over the years. Now, as Hypebae reports, its latest partnership is one that’s quite likely very close to every fashion fan’s heart, reigniting the legacy of the Glenn Martens at Y/Project, who only just announced his departure from the label in September last year.
Sharing a teaser of the collection last week on Instagram, Heaven claimed that the collaboration is “two years in the making,” confirming that it has, in fact, been designed under the creative vision of Martens. Blending the punky streetwear aesthetic with Heaven’s Y2K-inspired designs, the collection favors shrunken hoodies, distressed denim and graphic baby tees, with a few exaggerated silhouettes for good measure.
Arriving with a pared-back campaign that featured rapper and music producer Ken Carson and Alana Champion, the collection seemingly acts as the perfect goodbye for fans of Y/Project – but also suggests that there could still be unreleased collaborations to come…
You can take a peek at the campaign by heading to the Heaven by Marc Jacobs website to purchase.
